Buildings along streets. The top left is under the influence of the population map, while the rest is totally random because it goes over the population map size.

Advanced buildings with their night textures. The green halo was added manually to give the scene a sci-fi feel, a la Blade Runner.

A close up of tall buildings. They are simple cubes, saving a lot of processing power, but thanks to the texture generator, they look detailed.

A top-down view, revealing the intricate maze of buildings.

Create high-poly, complex-looking buildings with the advanced building generator. 15,555 faces created almost instantly. The current version has only limited support for those. You'll have much more control in v0.5.

A crowded city in the morning light.

The population map becomes very important when rendering large scale shots because it influences buildings heights. Do you want a realistic-looking city, or an ocean of skyscrapers?

The generated night textures let you give a particular mood to your scene, depending on the colour scheme you use. Cold and full of mystery, or warm and welcoming. Adding halos gives a realistic look to your cities.
